Sharaf Arts & Science College
is a self financing institution
approved by Govt.of Kerala and affiliated to Kannur
University. The college is run by Khidmath Organisation of
Padne. ( Shortly known as KOP). The difficulties
experienced by the students especially Muslim girls of this
area and the neighbouring areas in getting higher education
and the aspiration of the members of KOP to elevate them
from this dismal state, paved the way for the realisation of
a long cherished dream of establishing this institution in
the year 2003.
The college strives for promotion of academic
excellence and provides quality education to those who seek
for it. The college has been developing into a modern seat
of learning, keeping abreast of the new trends in higher
education. Thus, within a short span of time, the college
has earned good reputation as an institution imparting
excellent education under the leadership and guidance of the
Principal Prof.M.A.H.Khan who was the former Principal of
Mahatma Gandhi College, Iritty and former member of the
syndicate, Kannur University.
With the introduction of M.Com post
graduate course, the college has become first grade. In
addition, the college offers instructions in the following
five under graduate courses.

became a reality by the sincere leadership of 1)
K.P.Salahuddin, 2) Mr. P.K.C.Mahamood Haji. The main
inspiring factor to establish this prestigious institution,
ofcourse, is the great service help and support rendered by
the great philianthropists shaik Sharafudheen Sharaf who is
the retired Major General( Dubai) and Manging Director of
Sharaf Group of Companies (World Wide)
